I’m Suzanne Griffith, and I am asking you to vote for me for Bremerton City Council, District #1. First, I will be a voice for working people. I was born in Bremerton, where my parents both worked in Shop 31 at PSNS during WWII. I worked, got an education, and returned here in 1981. My daughter and granddaughter were also born here and live in town. For many years, I ran a local resume service, helping Shipyard personnel and others to gain promotions and new employment. I was known for getting jobs for people. I support unions and was a union member at Olympic College, where I worked as an English adjunct professor for six years. Second, I will be vigilant in spending the city’s money. I will scrutinize budgets and contracts for problems that might arise down the road. I have worked as a grant writer and administrator and can use this experience to safeguard the people of Bremerton from fiscal irresponsibility. I’m familiar with local issues including housing. I won’t rubber-s
